The reason why I started this site is to come up with a blog that’ll inform, update, and guide people with relevant Philippine features. I’m not the typical outspoken “proud to be a Filipino” kind of person (person who takes credit for anything amazing and globally popular that is Filipino such as Charice, Jessica Sanchez, yoyo, etc.), but that doesn’t mean that I am not proud of my race — I am actually proud, very proud to be exact. And so to walk the talk, I decided to come up with a blog to market Philippine’s tourism through destination features, update Filipinos overseas about trending Philippine issues, and of course guide foreigners who are interested about the country.

So furthermore, I have a few reasons why you should travel the Philippines– this applies to both Filipinos and foreigners:

* The Philippines as an archipelago is showered with lots and lots of amazing destinations. From beaches to land forms, to wild life and to water forms, you can spend years and years if you want to see everything the country has to offer.

* We can’t deny, the Philippines is a third world country. But as a Filipino, I tell you that this country isn’t as bad as you think it is. In fact it isn’t bad at all. Sure there are many people who dwell in poverty, but the government is still able to make the country beautifully commercialized while keeping its natural resources conserved. And speaking of poverty, this is the main reason why we should travel the Philippines. If the country’s tourism is boosted, chances are more jobs would be available for the locals. We can help fight poverty through our own little means.

* Philippines offers cheaper but positively overwhelming vacation destinations. Compared to other places with higher currency, you can do some thrifty strategies by going to the Philippines instead. Yes, the costs are cheaper but I assure you that the beauty and satisfaction will be equally good what as a five star destination has if destinations can be given stars.

*The country has kind hearted people. You are sure that the people you meet and talk to are nice people. I remember reading in my grade school social studies book that one of Filipinos’ not so good traits is their hospitality. Foreigners might think that it’s weird how hospitality can be treated as a bad thing. Well, my teacher’s example was that Filipinos tend to do everything they can just to make their guest comfortable, even if it means sacrificing their own comfort or going beyond what they have to offer. Nonetheless, my point here is that Filipinos love guests so no need to worry about the people you will meet in the Philippines.

….. Apart from these, I believe there are million other reasons why the Philippines deserves a travel. Some reasons might not have been discovered yet and some reasons might just be hard to notice. So hope to get you packing to see Philippines. Mabuhay!
